The old girl passed her annual MOT today with reasonably flying colours; just a follow-up in a month for possible blood tests to see if she’s anaemic. Her heart is good (always a worry with coonies) and she has excellent teeth. She’s showing her age though, so regular checks-ups for her in future. She did her usual trick of flattening herself out on the exam table like a halibut and trying to discreetly slide off the edge into my hoodie pocket to hide, and as usual it failed. I must video it next time, it’s very funny but quite sweet. But she’s back home in her favourite box, and for now all is well.

Sad pancake is sad. She’s not sleeping, just moping.
She’ll be fine in the end I’m sure.

From being away from my two, cats miss having their usual set up. Exactly the same as small children do.
When Lizzie is back, fleur will be happy to have her routine back.
Hope the furbaby settles.

Patch had a tooth removed last Tue, it took her a week to finally forgive me!
Between last Tue and Sun night, she refused to stay in the same room as me and slept on the sofa every night! But all is well in the world now!

People are wrong. Cats are more like small children. They want the world like they are used to.
Love to the princess.

What an astonishingly beautiful creature. We don't need art, when nature gives us such sights.

Poor sad pancake! I'm not sure what to suggest. I'm definitely the favoured human in the house so I've never had to worry about this (sometimes I feel like I'm a little too favoured, when one cat is licking my face and the other is squashing in next to me in bed).

So beautiful! How often do you have to brush her? My cat has got a few dreadlocks forming in her giant ruff as she hates to be brushed on her chest.

Thanks! At least once a day, but happily she adores being groomed, she’ll come trotting over if I pick up her comb. Sometimes it’ll go on for 15 minutes and she’ll get so heightened that she’ll nip me, very gently. She’s sat next to me right now after being combed and fussed, and she’s now grooming herself. She gets right into her fur with her teeth and makes a noise like a truffle pig.
She does get the odd mat in her fur, usually from some garden detritus getting stuck, but as she’s got older (she’ll be 13 next March) her fur has got drier and more fuzzy and it seems to knot more easily, especially in her ruff. But it’s not an issue really, because it means we can just groom her more :)

Poor pancake. Has she cheered up yet?

She was a bit better yesterday. Had a friend over to visit who stayed with her this morning when I went to work so she got a bit more attention today. I’ve been spoiling her with play and Thrives in the evenings but it’s clear she wants her fave human back again. Still being very vocal about the situation, no overgrooming or other bad habits at least.

Made an appointment for Canolli to get his balls chopped off today. I've been through this with other Tom cats before, but this time I feel uniquely sad. Mrs EB said the same thing the other day.
He's such a character, I worry it will just make him lazy and fat and he'll lose his isness.....

Bye bye Canollis balls.
Had to get my boy cat done, as he was trying to hump his sister (Proper brother and sister from the same litter) and girl cat did not appreciate it.

[Silly comment on]So let us get this straight, the apex predator of her environment is out of sorts as her environment has changed ;)
Or cat missing her furless no tail servants. One servant is not enough to fulfill cats need for servants.
Cute photo by the way.
In irrelevant news, my two haven't seen me for near two months. They don't get video calls as they can see me but can't smell me nor interact with me. So stopped doing that as the cats were not happy after. Having a cat headbutt a phone and then make strange cat noises as the cat did not get what the cat expected.

Have put the feliway on
Have you tried pet remedy? We tried feliway when our two were fighting but it didn't make a noticeable difference. Then we used pet remedy when saff was ill & stressed about going to the vets, as we noticed that's what they had on in the vets room. Really seems to work although the smell is a lot more noticeable to human noses (not a bad smell, just essential-oily kind of smell)

Good to know for future, will get some.
Think lizzies home tomorrow morning so hopefully normality will resume.
Was another night of head boops and meeping in my face.
We facetimed earlier, have done before as well. She def recognises Lizzie’s voice and meeps back at her.
She’s just trundling around knocking things over now to show her distress/superiority.
