Possibly old parasol mushrooms?

My ID is based on the snake skin pattern in the stem. (Do not eat based in my ID 😂)

My porcini spot was on form today. Hopefully it will continue to produce. Not a maggot in sight though so I feel very lucky.

Protected species, Hericium erinaceus, also named Bearded Tooth or Tree Hedgehog, which is confusing as hedgehog's are super tasty and easy to ID.

Woahhhh, I'd love to see one of these!

Funny that it's protected and illegal to pick but super easy to cultivate and so you can buy it online.

They look so clean, I always find maggoty ones.

Interesting but still unclear as to why. Reading between the lines i assume because of its commercial value...? I'll have to read up on it.

Turns out it's critically endangered in the wild. Thus protected. Lucky find i guess...

Found about 20 small puffballs today. Meadow or common I think, probably good to eat but left them be as I was running/dipping in river.

These little beggars have popped up in the garden of my new house. Honey fungus or something more nefarious

Caz those ceps are beauts!

They're fairly common and now's the time.. people are more giving with their spots too.

The dense cluster looks a bit Sulphur Tuft like to me.

Easy pickings down in the West Country!
