Fair enough. It really does depend on the room layout. The shower I did that I'm looking at now starts full from the bottom and has half a tile at the ceiling - would definitely look worse with the half at the bottom as that is much more in the eyeline - IMO. (shower pic)
The other 2 bathrooms I've done were started at the top of the bath. One I finished with a full tile and trim just below the ceiling as there was a (not straight) 1-2cm gap and I couldnt be arsed to try and cut tiles that thin to fit. (bath pic) Down to floor level was hidden behind sink unit so didn't matter. The other was around a fitted bath and had a part tile at the ceiling as per the shower one.
Very much not a pro though!
Thanks. It's supported on a wooden frame, plus the metal legs you can see. I filled it before sealing round the bottom row of tiles to allow for slight movement.
