Good start! This is what was supposed to happen today but the trains are all fucked so they came back early and mini_com was napping so I couldn't do the loft stairs.

Yeah. I was pretty gutted last Friday as the plan was that I'd have that afternoon to myself. But classic childcare project drift meant it got sacked off.
I've still got to spend the evening tidying up outside. But overall feel pretty good even though both kids are currently in a screaming match/game either side of me!

Taken a million years and I'm only ⅓ through, but it's finally a start. All thanks to my amazing OH taking the kids out for most of the day and giving me a pass to just do stuff I want to do.
Still thinking through whether I'll stick with my design or modify it. I feel it may be a bit high for me once I get a work surface on, but the wood stock I had and the minimum height underneath I needed dictated it.
Here's the before pic. Obviously almost all that is going to have to be dumped back in for the time being.
