Are the folk of Lancaster trying to claim Fury now!?
Insomnia meant I caught most of it by hopping across a few twitter streams. I’m not much an aficionado these days but that was a great scrap. Wilder was outboxed (apart from the fourth) but he is unbelievably brave.
Where do people think this ranks Fury? I still think prime Lewis would beat him.

Aye hats off to Fury for completing the trilogy. Sounded epic.
Humble pie for me!

Exceeded all expectations.

Just watched it back and I reckon that’s the most entertainment you’ll ever get from a heavyweight bout.
Fury v Usyk will be a chess match by comparison.
-
• #1681
Not sure Usyk will be Fury’s next opponent.
Don’t see how either Usyk or AJ can beat Fury, I’d slightly favour AJ out of the two. Although think AJ may have lost his way.
I could see Fury loosing a keeping ticking over fight.
Unification seems a long way off!! -

Fury v Usyk might be Fury’s swansong. It won’t happen for two years minimum and it’ll probably be at a dry venue in Riyadh.
I’d love to see a mandatory programme which guaranteed Fury v Usyk and Wilder v AJ within six months.

Am I the only one who still wants to see Fury v Joshua?
-
• #1684
I do. Just to put it to bed.

Feels like fury needs to wrap up the division by fighting AJ and usyk before he loses the motivation. I can also only see fury getting beaten by a challenger who's not good enough to motivate him.
-
• #1686
It is hard to see how he would lose, given he is the biggest, most skilled, most resilient heavyweight right now.
-
• #1687
Very much this.
-
• #1688
That was some fight. You can’t ask for more than that in a heavyweight fight. No idea where Wilder goes from here.
-
• #1689
Entertaining fight, but hardly the greatest. Credit to Wilder’s chin but it was a very one sided contest, despite round 4.
The AJ v Klitscho match up was more thrilling IMO

Fucking lol.
Another vote for Fury vs AJ, if only so I could watch AJ get bashed up.
-
• #1692
It would be nice if fury could get AJ to step aside to allow him to fight usyk with the promise that AJ will fight the winner with all 4 belts on the line. That would be 12-18 months. There maybe another fighter on the scene after that.

• #1693
Judges had fury ahead by 2, 3 and 4 rounds
-
• #1694
I would also still like to see Joshua v Wilder, as I think Wilder would knock Joshua out.
By choosing not to make a fight with either Fury or Wilder, it feels like Joshua has massively lost out on legacy.
-
• #1695
Wow everyone wants to see AJ get knocked out eh
-
• #1696
I'd be equally happy to see AJ win, just interested to know who is better. I'm not sure AJ has the chin of Wilder or Fury.
Hearn's strategy of taking AJ off to lose to Ruiz and Usyk looks particularly odd in retrospect.

I can dig it. And I definitely fancy Wilder’s chances.
-
• #1698
I guess the harder man won!
-
• #1699
Not necessary the harder man, but definitely the better boxer.

Fury is slippery as a jellied eel and has huge reach, despite that Wilder has managed to spark him out numerous times. AJ's head movement is, to be kind, sub-par. If the fight happens, my money is on AJ getting sent to the shadow realm.
What a fight. Glad I made the effort to get up, run down to the pub and back again.
Watching Peppa pig with my twins now
