this is so awesome!
I used to experience the same fear when our kids picked up speed on their balance bikes.
servo operated remote control rear brake? -

The one I did with Stayer for Bespoked some years ago had a cable steering prototype but it never really was that great and is currently in permanent storage.

Mmmm she is getting pedal bike as soon as I can find the time to make it.
I'd like it to have a rear disc brake to begin with, but to be honest I am thinking about sacrificing the paintjob on her current bike and give it flat mount rear brake. -

The bike I build my wife as a wedding present saw daylight today for the first time in a good while.
I will put dropbars back on as soon as possible as she has a daily ride now and this is intended for long weekend rides etc.

when our kiddos migrated to a pedal bike I took out the BB / cranks for a while so they could get used to the size change.
then fitted cranks but used to carry around pedals and a spanner until they were confident enough to be on the pedals full time - didn't take that long before they were! -

Went over to drop something with Sam today and he showed me a frame with the 3.4 inch yoke. Woof! Will be ordering.

Sick! The 2.4" yokes you mean?
I have a couple of those for myself now. But I haven't seen the 3" ones in the flesh yet.
And thanks for the support man. I am mega excited to see a lot more Stayers out there and super chuffed I can be a small part of it.

I hope you posted your fixture solution to the hacks thread. Deserving of praise!
Also what's the thought behind the slotting on the seat tube?

Love the idea of using an old seat post as a hole saw guide. At first I thought you were relying merely on steady hands and nerves of steel...
From memory, you have cable steering on your cargo bike? Have you ever had any issues with it? Just wondering, in light of the Packster 70 recall.
