Those aren't... resin, are they?
The calipers are aluminium, lever brackets might be glass filled Zytel as Wienmann certainly had that technology back then.

Aren't they just aluminium wid a rubber jonny over the top?

Yeah, I remember seeing Ofmega plastic derailers years ago, they blew me away, seemed such a sketchy proposition.
Not nearly as sketchy as the idea of plastic calipers though, although I'm surprised carbon ones aren't more of a boutique thing

Carbon fibre brake calipers have come and gone a few times in various forms, see the recent chat in the Orient Express thread, https://www.lfgss.com/comments/16165083/incontext et seq. The material is basically good for the application, but the benefit over forged or milled aluminium is tiny compared with the enormous cost of manufacture. If the demand curve never crosses the cost curve, the manufacturer had better cut his losses and try something else.

Yeah, I think it's called black aluminium when they need a carbon part to be strong in every direction. But you see plenty of carbon stems...
Hmm, how about printed ti...? That would be interesting. Have to be direct mount once you're getting that fancy... And why not hydraulic, specced for the new Dura-Ace.

I was tripping out on the black delta brakes, looking pretty beefy for the era. Those aren't... resin, are they?
