Personally, I don’t get mechanical watches with no seconds hand. To me, it might as well be quartz. One of the things I dig the most about mechanical watches is the sweeping seconds hand.

Just had a casual browse of 2nd hand Rolex 16570. Fucking hell the prices have basically doubled since I last looked.... Which was a while ago, but still.
Genuinely surprised by the inflation on what was always a relatively unpopular watch.

Small seconds is the traditional way of doing it. Centre seconds came later. They’re just being traditional / “dressy” because it’s an ultra thin three hander. Same reason it has the alligator.
It caused a bit of a stir when Lange made a watch with a steel bracelet… I don’t really think it suits trad higher end stuff. It’s really only Rolex that decided that bracelets on everything were the way to go, and that was largely to do with their water resistance USP.
Still, better than this

I think small seconds, wherever they may be, are really quite charming. But then again, I'd rock the shit outta this, so maybe I'm the outlier.

Sub seconds dials were the original implementation of watches displaying seconds. It's just another way of doing it.
Then again, who pays full retail for a Zenith…?
Didn't the saying used to be "Grand Seiko"? I'm sure it applies to most watches that aren't any watches that aren't A Rolex (or AP, Patek etc...)

What the hell is that strap made from? Fabric?
I guess if I'm after extra stuff I'll just go digital (preferably G-Shock and I love G-Shock ).
Analog for me is just time that is easy to read. Maybe a beautiful watchface along the way.

So good. More and more into green. Just put a green saddle leather strap on the black AnOrdain.

Awful isn’t it, assume it isn’t OEM, I stole the pic from OF.

Pics!
Green is my favourite colour. I'd buy the green Tank Must immediately if it was available at retail. Lol.

that zenith is a beaut! I also have a soft spot for small seconds, on a dress watch.

Cheers mate. Yeah gonna have a think. Both of us have 3-4 watches on rotation so had thought to just get one and put it away. Might just buy a case of Bordeaux instead!

If you want the newer sports models then you probably are, now.

I've just had mine done (34mm Tudor Oysterdate) £215 for a full service and new seals etc and a 1 year warranty...

Aye. Fair enough.
