Thanks Oliver. I still remember the day so clearly, it was perfect weather and visibility. I half want to go to the court hearing but I would have to take a day's holiday and it seems somewhat ghoulish :(

Agree with Oliver: It's not ghoulish.
In fact you'll be doing your civic duty.
There's a quote; "justice must be seen to be done" - and maybe the local rag will be there maybe not - so who will see it?
