I don't think it's ghoulish. I'd go if you can if you take such a strong interest in the case. Take plenty of notes. You'll probably hear distressing things and it may be upsetting, but it may help you in dealing with it. That said, it may not be a good trial, a possibility that's always there, but if it's a well-run trial with a measure of justice in the outcome, it can help.

Thanks Oliver. I still remember the day so clearly, it was perfect weather and visibility. I half want to go to the court hearing but I would have to take a day's holiday and it seems somewhat ghoulish :(
