On the vinyl theme - my first ‘album’ was Disco Fever which featured a group called Space. Second was an album by a group called Ananta - I think they were a cult thing - If anyone has any knowledge of them, I would be very interested.
The vinyl thing doesn’t relate to singles - I have no idea what my first single purchase was. I think albums were that much more expensive that a single was super cheap. (It makes sense to me!)
