That is actually really nice

Envious. If we flounce from London, going to be the Midlands or North West I think.

That is nice. Love that style of front door / porch thing. Looks well looked after too.
Bit dated inside and will be a bastard to heat in winter, but very livable for the short - medium term.

Culverley Green was our Catford endgame before we flounced. It is indeed actually nice.

• #48656
what do you know?!

I concur.
Jealousy enducing £/sqft cf the SW postcodes.Don't listen to @6pt.
Its not like he lives in a village idyll, with glorious views, a daycare down the road, a fancy bakery on the doorstep and trail runs/rides for miles and miles and miles, nor just metres away from (apparently) one of the best MTB trail parks in the country, chickens, and fresh air. -

I know that I have not once missed walking down Sangley to get to the shops since we left Catford. Even took to walking down Culverley instead to avoid it towards the end. Sorry Ed/Dan.

• #48659
Nah, it’s what we can afford and not planning to stay more than 5 years.
-
• #48660
Yeah, don't consider any of that, 6pt has merely FAILED AT LONDON. :)
-
• #48661
I’m still genuinely working on not seeing it like this.
-
• #48662
Hardly a failure as London is not easy on people unless you’re rich.
I plan to go to Sheffield despite having ridiculously less mechanical work there and less chance of getting a roles due to disability, the quality of life is so much better and affordable. -

Catford is Sheffield of London®
-
• #48665
You can buy the same flat for 1/3rd of one in Catford.
-
• #48666
But you'll be SO FAR from Good Food, Jerk Scene and Big Mouth.
-
• #48667
There is still good food in Sheffield and there are plenty of Jerks up there.
-
• #48668
Nice. [Sees price.] Ah, maybe not.
-
• #48669
You do get a bit more space for your money in the North West

Ugh, that's horrid.
-
• #48671
Can't dig up the garden either.

I've always fancied living in a church - mainly as a bit of a fuck you to Jesus.
That's really badly done though.
Decor aside, there's loads of wasted space.
-
• #48673
Imaging how it is in winter.
-
• #48674
It looks a bit like they moved in without realising they'd bought a church and then thought, fuck it, we'll make do.
-
• #48675
You can't even call that converted, they just shoved a couple of sofas and a tv in to a church
here you go
