  • Didn't know that Audi officially built a group S car. By officially the rally team built the car with NO permission or knowledge. Though the Audi was a group B development, to make the quattro mid engined to beat the other mid engined 205 and S4. When Audi/vw people learnt about the quattro the project was ended.

    Thought this was a museum car but seem to be used occasionally ;)

    But then I knew about (and seen) the Skoda Group S development LR. Which sort of ended as VW were shown what skoda could do. As I mentioned before my friend has a group B skoda 130LR and there are some great stories about that.

    There are a couple of pictures of what looks like an S1 Quattro in existence but it's a mid engined test car pre-group S. The guy at the Audi museum suggests that it no longer exists
