    Its 11% of current copper demand. Each full EV takes about 80kg of copper. There's plenty of copper to go around though, and given that its infinitely recyclable it shouldn't be such a big deal (other than destroying the earth to get it out of the ground)

    Even so, such a massive commodity shift.

  • Just need to transition from copper to fibre last mile telephone networks and we free up a load of copper!

    (Okay, probably not enough for electric cars but about half the market cap of BT)
