Good man Jonny! Yes, the ranks of cyclists swelled significantly for the ride around the track with Sir Chris on Sunday morning! From a dozen or so milling around the Eroica Britannia area chatting to punters all weekend, there were suddenly a hundred or more, it looked impressive.
I'm guessing you can pick yourself out of one of these track photos. I'm slap bang mid field obscurity, but on the extended ride around the estate, the little group I was in were all chatting so much, we missed a route marker somewhere, and cut a 2nd lap of the hill climb off. We rolled in thinking that 20 mile ride was easy! And then Chris Hoy came in right behind us, saying he didn't remember us overtaking him?? :-)
Becuase we'd crossed the line together the last photo below is us at the finish line, spot the two frauds either side of Chris ;-)
