Hello,
I 've finally find a shoe that fits and so now need to pass on the shoes that didn't.
Here they are:
Lake wide fit MTB shoes,size 43.
Used for about 50 miles if that. A lovely shoe with the cleats positioned far enough back to achieve fore foot pedaling. Didn't quite fit me , so went up a size.

Louis Garneau Gravel shoes, size 44.
FW Evans used to do these. Nice fit but not as good as the Lakes

Trainer type shoe with cleats.
