A founding principle of the business is that however valuable, I’ll not do business with cunts. This regularly leads to the rejection of wholesale customers. Reason being that enjoying what I do and not dealing with cunts is more valuable to me than cash. How ironic that I chose to talk to you in my free time.

Unless, of course, Mr Peel is reacting badly to someone simply trying to suggest that they feel there is a relationship between them and Mr Peel which they value, and that they value sufficiently to communicate this (possibly clumsily, but whatever).
Mr Peel, in this case, due to reasons that we should probably not examine, damaging his own business unnecessarily by allowing his own prejudices to distance himself from customers who are telling him that they feel there is more than a commercial relationship between them.
