I use Turkish-made THIN towels almost exclusively now. My bugbear with towels is the opposite of most people; I find them too thick and absorbent which means they take too long to dry after use which means they stink much sooner.
My bath/shower towel is marketed as a hand towel but I find it big enough.

While we're on the subject of household items, I hate the smooth side of our towels. Why is there a smooth side? It feels like you're just smearing water around your body instead of doing the thing a towel is supposed to do.
