Do you actually need one? I've got one for my Z1 but just ended up setting the wiper seals by hand.

Any recommendations for a decent set of xc wheels that arenāt ludicrously expensive. 29er boost fitment. Hunt the best bet?

alloy rims?
Hunt are OK. Something custom on Hope for more reliability?

Yeh just something a bit nicer than the plonk that comes on a ā¬1800 bike. Hope would be nice but a bit less clear on availability than hunt.

you might benefit from lighter oil, it was night and day when I used 20w in mine. I've got a Z1 now, was less noticeable when using lighter oil.

Tomorrow I am off to help with the Dean Trail Volunteers I hope to join in with them once or twice a month helping maintain/build the trails. I want to meet like minded people, learn more about the trails and contribute a little bit. This has also been spurred on by reading so many people on the Facebook FOD MTB group either complaining about the state of the trails or asking how to avoid the parking charges (which are how the trails are paid for). Given it is only Ā£40 for a years parking/trail access it bothers me a little that so many people are unwilling to pay.

Is there anything obviously wrong with the Giant Fathom for use on light gravƩl?
I might swap the forks out for something 120mm. It'll steepen the angles, which should be fine (?), but will the BB drop be so drastic that I plow into every leaf?

but would it void warranty?

BB drop
It's only 60mm drop. I have 86mm on my Bird and it's fine.
does anyone have a seal press tool for 32mm stanchion seals that I can borrow?
