Are we talking about the same bike? The tubing shape on the Maxi Sports is obviously not Max

Yes, we do.
The fork is indeed not in Max and the frame is maybe a mix but the downtube looks like Max, doesn't it?
And Cyfac is known for having used Max chain stays as (huge) seat stays in the 90s.
Plus (of course one can put any decals on any frame):

Interesting. I still don't think all tubes are Max tbh, but it's hard to tell from a photo. Anyway, the frameset is cool as hell :)
