Great advert for disc brakes. He must have had new pads and rotors for the race, but the pads wore out after..what..150km? Then he was reduced to using his shoes. No wonder people complain they can't find the pads in the shops...they're about as durable as an after eight.
I look forward to the return of drum brakes. And how about thrust reversers? Or parachutes? Grappling hooks?
