Either Pep was playing the victim card again, or he was having a go at the lack of atmosphere in the Etihad:

"It's a yellow card. It's a yellow card. It's clear. It's Anfield, it's Old Trafford.
In our situation a City player is sent off. It's too much clear.

I mean, he was a victim of a shit ref not making the obvious and correct decision. Same goes for VAR not challenging the foul by Milner for the penalty in the first half too…

I haven't seen the game (though I'll probably watch MOTD at some point), I was just quoting Pep's post match comments. By all accounts, Milner deserved a second yellow, but VAR doesn't look at those, do they?
My point was that Pep implied that the crowd might possibly influence the ref at at Old Trafford or Anfield, but it didn't happen at the Ethiad. It's all a bit conspiracy theory though...
