  • What time does coverage start and what is the expected finishing time?

  • lets forget the fact that it was women who raced yesterday, what sense does it make to not broadcast an entertaining race from km 0? ASO is delusional because of their misogyny.

  • Eurosport coverage starts at 9.40. Finish around 4pm.

  • I've been to Roubaix.

  • I disagree. It shows how hard it was, they were not able to take time back anywhere and couldn't organise a chase due to crashes and low team numbers.

    A masterclass of a ride.

  • Thanks Will

  • wow I thought Will Melling was your alias

  • The Belgian fans were less happy when they thought Boonen had it and Hayman pipped him in 2016.

  • prudhomme's business card

  • Great photos Will.

  • Getting jetwashed on your road rash... nails. 😬

  • 2001, the last time it was very wet, was the first Roubaix I went to. Lost the pics I took then. It really was something though. Today's going to be crazy.

  • Awesome photos Will! Right in the mood!

  • Would not want to be Adam Blythe on that motorbike, let alone one of the riders

  • This was discussed in the Lanterne Rouge recap podcast yesterday, it's not entirely up to ASO it seems. (17:50)

  • Super strong early break

  • Rouleur have footage of her breaking away on their Instagram and said that the broadcasters didn't get it. I imagine they wouldn't say that without being sure.

It happening on the first sector was obviously unexpected and will have taken them by surprise but would they let that happen with the men's race? Coverage of which started at half past nine this morning, it's worth adding.

  • live pictures of women's race started when the race was already won. live pictures of men's race started before the racing even started.

  • The reason that Deignan's escape wasn't filmed was a technical fault.

Have you got a source for that?

When the coverage started it was superb.

Our definitions of superb obviously differ - no commentary when it finally went live, missing the winner's post-race interview in the velodrome and missing the decisive moment in the race doesn't make superb for me.

  • The Delko Mondrian kit, yes

  • I don't think that was all the Aso's fault. My coverage had commentary from the moment the coverage started (with Ant McCrossan, so it's not all good) and post race interviews were just fine.

  • All the commentators should be forced to ride the sportife first then they might talk less sH###
