Is there a tester approved chain tug?
There is (Fireeye ASP), but they don't make them any more. You need something which actually engages the axle, which usually means a projecting lug inside the axle slot, e.g. DMR. If there's nothing in the slot ahead of the axle, you need to size your axles to end outside the track ends

What's the tester approved place to buy bolts?
Id like to buy a small stash of various sized Allen bolts, nuts and washers for mudguards, racks and other bike related stuff. -

@gbj_tester IIRC you tapped the axle of your front Shimano hub conversion to run a rear 6 bolt cog on your Cervelo.
What thread? M6 or M8?
I'm gonna use it on the front, IIRC M6 is the right one with some dome washers (correct?).

No, the Cervelo is still using a rear hub with a screwed on sprocket. On the other hand, it is attached to the bike with M6 threads tapped into a Shimano axle, so your memory is half right 🙂
As I think I've explained before, M6 is plenty strong enough for a front hub, and the tap runs into the QR bore with no need to drill or ream. At the back, it's fine on a road bike with vertical dropouts but in track ends you should use chain tugs to react the chain tension as the bolt clamping force is not much better than a QR.

Bronze to match the rusty bits on the frame

But of a dredge but anyone know of the best place to get Kalloy Unos? eBay is full of what I assume to be knockoffs.
-
• #1194
not sure why the ones on ebay would be knockoffs? kalloy bits are pretty dirt cheap already
-
• #1195
I only buy cheap eBay ones for all bikes and they have been great. Very cheap, light, easy to stealth out. I've had several oem stems on bikes that appear identical.

Interesting! Thanks for the link.
I felt that directly from China would be ripe for knockoffs, but I'm probably being too cautious

I have a triple chainset on my touring bike.
Can you recommend any chainrings?
I’m replacing TA Zephyr

Thanks for the reply…still keen on it so I can leave my wrench at home when riding fixed. Is there a tester approved chain tug?
