I don’t know how you’d decide which bits to cut. It’s not like any of the sectors are inherently more dangerous than others in the same way that you can cut a big climb/descent from a mountain stage in a grand tour.

Bahrain's Stevie Williams takes his first pro win in the Cro Race, dropping Simon Yates on the final climb after they'd been away for 40-odd kms.

I'm really pleased for him as he's had to comeback from a major knee injury that has affected him for the past 2.5 seasons, so it's great that he's finally had a chance to confirm the promise he showed as an u23 rider.
