If/when I get picked up for the World Tour my burner will have to be written into my contract.

Hello ....apologies, as ever, for the silence. I have desperately wanted to make some more products for the forum, just many other (good!) things going on,
To this end, I'm putting something in place to motivate me. I've been in touch with HH Velodrome outreach coordinator, and am using this project to support track sessions for a local school, essentially 15 sessions or half-a-terms worth. I've paid up, and had about 25% already from the last round of bags, which included some very generous donations for some fabric I passed on.
This now motivates me to crack on with making up more items for the forum, hopefully to surpass the target I have now set myself.
Hoping to do this over the next week or so (so, prob read 'month') and I've got a list of interested people/products. Now the temp is dropping, guessing Burners might be of interest as as well as more bags?
News in my world;
Excited to have supported the FRTHR EAST event a few weekends back. If you didn't see this ride by @neilp I'm still haven't got my head around it.... Stunning photos on FRTHR and Albion;

You can see the backpack in use, and all riders got a lovely charcoal Lightweight musette with a neon reflective boar. These are available if you can't wait for me to get fired up;
https://www.albioncycling.com/collections/further/Any also went down to try out some ideas at the first Fforest Gran Ffondo. Brilliant setup and weekend; as much or as little riding as you wanted, but also launching the Spirit Cymru project, which should go live next year. Give 'em a follow, looks like a solid idea, with much potential;

I was running textile customisation processes over the weekend, the idea being you could go on a journey with a garment - like a t-shirt - over the three days, and emerge with something closer and more valuable to you. Also doing repairs and upgrades to any kit, really enjoy doing this stuff in-person after such a big gap.....you might notice in the Albion photo story I've got hold of a digital cutter. This opens up potential for custom graphics and applications. Eagle-eyes might have spotted on Neils winners cap which I'm v jealous of. EAST, chapeau.
Cheers for reading this far, watch this space!

Lovely update! I’m glad it’s finally Burner season again.

Ha thanks @Chopsicle, just reasonable legs on the day and a bit of luck. The bag was perfect, my go to now for longer rides. I also had a burner with me for the night if the temp dropped.

Great cause! And the cold is coming...

7c burner this morning.

@Chopsicle or others, any suggestions on how to use a burner in non-cycling clothes so without bib straps or a particularly close fitting top?
-
• #509
Suggestion already made for a running version, which might fit the bill, but not high priority I'd bet. Until then, diy make an elastic chest strap as a hack?

This morning clarified that I’m definitely in the market for a burner as well @Chopsicle if / when you get to it. Vis other conversations here i’d be very happy to take a factory second / odd one if that saves you some work / materials / there’s one lying around that otherwise wouldn’t leave the workshop

2deg c & rain riding home this evening. Burner under classic softshell, between jersey & base layer, both merino. Chest stayed toasty warm. Perfect.

Just ordered a zoa burner as a Christmas present for my brother. He's perpetually underdressed and moans about it but refuses to bring an extra layer because he doesn't want to have to carry it. This applies to both on and off the bike so I thought a "technical scarf" might encourage him to stay warm and shut up.

I second that combination

thanks for the messages all - good to know they're out and being used. Sorry I'm so behind, a little swamped, but will be making up time in the New Year. @ltc hope it does the job, no more moaning(!)
I was looking for an archived reference for a project the other day, and found an image dated 24th Dec '16, from the original proto/weartest I made for F500 in '16. A bit daft, but was stoked to realise it's five years old (already), nearly to the day.

I rode in civvies to work yesterday, no burner. Thought my frozen remains would be scooped into the ground directly once found.
Bib shorts under jeans to ride home for burner deployment was a life saver.
Happy 5th birthday to a great idea!

Oh god, I seem to have lost my burner. Very sad.
I’ll take another if and when another batch gets going.

Recommended washing cycle for said burner?
30, delicates, non bio? -

Yes, perfect, but I stick mine in with a regular 40* if easier with a big load
surprised no pro teams have gotten into the burner game
