• Non-tubeless tyres and not enough time to properly test a new tubeless setup in any event. I didn't fancy setting off across remote Scottish moors on an untested tubeless setup.

  • I did this and it worked out fine. I figured if it went wrong, I put a tube in and I'm no worse off than starting with tubes.

    Made it a whole 2km from the start at Kelvingrove before the grrl's (atPhilDAS) rear tyre went flat. Overtightened the shitty valves and then wiggled fuck out of them to get sealant in them and then they were fine for the rest of the ~630km
