Yes indeed.

I had a pretty good idea of how it would be but the effect of the rhodium plated dial IRL is better than I'd hoped. In direct sun the sandblasted part sparkles and the chapter ring kind of glows, you get a slightly reddish tone (don’t call it brown), it's not a cold black. Pic attached, not sure if it shows it.
Kind of an all-round watch I think, not dressy, not out-and-out sporty. The teal enamel is a lot more specific, I have to think about what I'm wearing it with.

Cheers for the various suggestions. Some of the CWC ones look like possibles but almost all of them seem to be out of stock. I already have a few Seiko 5s but looking for a quartz.
The Citizen Eco drive one is a possible but a little too big at 42mm I suspect, I'll have to see if I can spot one in a shop.
The Precista G10 is a possible, although buying from Timefactors is a hassle.

You didn’t wear it running right!?
That is fucking mint 😎

Cheers. I just looked at the other eco-drive models on Ernest Jones and they were all 42mm too so discounted them. That one is actually £80 at Argos. Saying that, the eco-drive watch I've been wearing today has been running slow which is pretty annoying.

I was gonna bin this off but it was so cheap and it’s so fun being glow in the dark, that I decided to keep it. Will just be used as a beater when camping and stuff.

Just in case anyone’s interested - these two are offered from a mate significantly below RRP and certainly by far “the cheapest” on the grey market.
PM me for details if you’re crazy.

Good old Tudor, it’s much more comfortable to wear than an SKX.

Cheers mate. Definitely not, just me wearing a pair of over-specced trail running shoes to the post office.

Ooh la la. The white gold version is just full chefs kiss.

• #58093
Sure is. I don’t think I could ever pull it off and even if so, I would need to sell my kidney and then some to afford it 😂 that’s a whole other level.

Yeah, still probably couldn't afford one but I think a Saxonia is as far as I'd consider going for a dress-ish watch. Not that I can envisage myself ever wearing a suit or formal wear ever again.... I don't think Lange's quite fit in with pretty much year-round shorts and t shirts here in Los Angeles 😂

I got curious and looked up the rrp of these :O

Amazing.

And yet you can buy them for significantly less than some time only Royal Oak references and significantly significantly less than a Nautilus.

• #58098
Could probably do a “bargain” for both if anyone’s got £50k to spend. Almost 2 for 1 kind of deal.

think Ernest Jones may have got the size wrong on that titanium citizen - here's the same watch (I think...) listed at 40mm [https://www.firstclasswatches.co.uk/citizen-promaster-tough-super-titanium-bn0118-04e-p-75544/] lug to lug of 46mm so good for smaller wrists too.
and here's a review of basically the same watch with some useful pics [https://www.fratellowatches.com/hands-on-citizen-promaster-tough-ray-mears/#gref]
