I'm planning to rewatch The Sopranos before I watch this. It's been a while!

I saw The Green Knight tonight, I highly recommend seeing it in the cinema if you get the chance. Great film and it looks amazing!

Yeah def want to see Green Knight.
Someone on Reddit who went to see the Bond Premiere last night said it was good, runtime is deserved, and there are spoiler events so avoid social media until you’ve seen it. I’m def excited.

Most green Knight reviews I've seen have said it's horribly slow and tedious, although I get the impression they're from people expecting a fantasy action thing.

I read one review saying people are expecting Game of Thrones and it ain't that at all

Re-watched Cast Away yesterday afternoon on Netflix, first time I've seen it probably since when it was released.
Forgotten how desperately f-ing sad it is at the end!

I found it horribly slow and tedious. And I was expecting a fantasy action thing.

I'm now expecting something horribly slow and tedious, so probably won't watch it.

I heard lots of bad things before watching it and thought it was great.
Accusations of films being too slow are almost always wrong.

It's slow paced but it's no tedious. Can see why people expecting Game of Thrones, D'Movie wouldn't like it though.

I was being slightly facetious, but I've had a think about it and while Dev is really good and it's quite good to look at, if you watch it at home you'll be on your phone doing something else in 10-15 minutes (max).

Well - that's just like your opinion, man. -

Saw Green knight on the telly
Should be watched in cinema
It should be accompanied by the Simon Armitage BBC4 show
It’s interesting and deliberately unreliable.
Dev Patel does his thing where he’s not quite an actor and more a part of the scenery
Nice to see Sean Harris in a sympathetic role
Joel Edgerton kind of underused
Nice though 8/10 -

I enjoyed it and I was expecting action. I really enjoyed the 'mood' of it.
Dev Patel is one of those actors that i constantly under rate and always proves me wrong.

That's a good point actually, my girlfriend has quite a short attention span when it comes to films, she's terrible for spending half of it looking at her phone and then asking me to catch her up on what she's missed. She enjoyed it too and I think she got a lot more out of it for seeing it in the cinema with no distractions!

The Dead Don't Die - how the fuck do you make a zombie film with that cast so dull?

Pig.
And now First Cow
Two excellent films both set in Oregon

It's October which means I can watch as many spooky films as I want and nobody can stop me. Anyone got any favourites to recommend? Obscure and/or extremely stupid is good, I think I've got the more well known stuff covered.

Watch "Aaaaaaaah!" (2015).
Don't read about it first, go in cold. It's a thriller, it's weird but good.

Accidentally read a little bit about it! Writer of Sightseers and Kill List? I'm in.

Psycho Goreman
Possessor
The Wolf of Snow Hollow
Vampires vs The Bronx
Honeydew (ymmv)2020 / 1 was a pretty ace year for gristle.

Loved Possessor, one of the best horror adjacent films I've seen in years. I hated Psycho Goreman though! I don't mind a bit of self awareness in my shitty films but it was just trying a bit too hard I thought. I've not seen the others but will check them out, thanks.

Not exactly scary but kind of within the theme, The Void if you've not already seen it.
I was laughing quite a bit.
Defo worth a watch.
