Person A: there’s a man in a “BT internet” high vis jacket playing about in one of the green boxes on the pavement, is this suspicious?
Person B: this can be a technique used by thieves to case out your house, be vigilant and maybe call the police to be sure xxx
Apparently everything that ever happens on any street is a ruse deployed to case out houses for robberies.
Also, “cat spotted in garden, polite request to owner to stop cat coming in our garden please” is a regular post. Have they ever interacted with a cat/animal in their lives?! I signed up as I heard it was good for business (sparky) but all the enquiries had red flags all over them, so I promptly deleted my advert!

Best one on our old local Facebook was seeking out a cat owner to pay for a broken vase or something the cat had knocked over upon gaining entry to stranger's house. No one came forward, oddly.
we have just been using Next Door platform to find out which of our village pumps has anything. managed to score £30 of diesel yesterday. one garage had petrol only. two were completely closed. then I found the diesel. all within short range.
it's the only time I have found Next Door useful it's a proper old load of curtain twitching nonsense
