Miche X-Press are pretty decent, at around £150.
Ive been told Halo Aero Rage have better quality hubs, at around £200.
Mavic Ellipse are very nice, but are around £350.
I think I'd go for the Halos.

I’ve had pair of Halos that have out lasted 2 Wanksters so far, they’ve got over 20,000 miles on them so far in the 8years or so. Bombproof is how I’d describe them. I’ve changed the rear bearings once, put a new rear axle in (snapped it in playing in the woods), I’ve not had to true either wheel in that whole time. And I don’t really look after the poor old Langster, it’s a lock up and leave wreck of a thing. I’ve also got a pair of Ellippse with about the same miles under them, but they get treated a lot better and so I’ve never had to touch them.

No idea of they any good but currently building a set of sturmey archer single speed wheels on halo 26in rims. Maybe £160?

PM'd!
I'm looking for a wheelset for my Langster to replace the stock wheels. New or second hand is fine, I'm not looking to spend too much
I'm not particularly fussed about weight/rim depth/tubeless or clincher but I would like something that gives a less wooden ride than the current rims (Alexrims DA16). I appreciate some of that is down to the stiff alloy frame.
Any recommendations, suggestions, got something suitable you are looking to shift?
