Problem with dropper cable routing

I just took the cranks of my Ribble 725ht off and saw that the spindle of the cranks is wearing out the cable of the dropper post.
The operation of the dropper already requires a lot of force because of the tight angle the cable is in from the downtube to the seattube. Is was also a complete pain in the ass to feed the cable through...
Did I do something wrong? How are these cables normally routed?

Did you have the plastic sleeve fitted inside your bottom bracket?

No there was no space for it with the cable there...

well unless the cable can somehow go through that gusset that's above the BB the only other thing you could try is a thinner cable and try to get the plastic sleeve in the BB to stop it happening again. Jagwire do a dropper specific cable with a smaller housing.

Just managed to get the bb sleeve in but I'm not so happy with the tight bends the cable is making...

Just got a reply from Ribble, turns out the cable should go through the gusset and not these holes and the bb...
Not sure how to feed it through there but I'll have a look soon

Solved this:)
Routed a new (shifter) cable through that gussed and it's so much better, no more tight bends and its so much easier to operate.
I must say Ribble's customer service is quite good with replying and thanks @Dry
