  • My trusty Rock Lobster is up for a very reluctant sale.
    N+1 forces sale.

The current saddle will be swapped out for a Selle Italia.

The Pelago cargo rack is a negotiable element. Comes with the Restrap x Pelago limited edition Rando Bag (17L).
If the rack and bag aren't wanted, they'll move to my commuter.

8 spare tubes and some spare brake pads will be included.

Looking for £400 for the bike. Additional £200 for the rack and bag.

    Collection from Crawley, West Sussex.
May be willing to meet nearby or send via a courier - latter would be at buyers expense.

  • Hi what size is the bike?

  • Hi Freddie,
    I believe it's a 21inch frame - I will double check the measurement when I'm home.
    Cheers,
    Jason

  • How tall are you? Just down the road and interested, but might be a bit too small. (I'm 6ft).

  • I'm a nudge over 5' 6" - there's quite a bit of post still in the tube. I can measure centre of the BB to maxed saddle height when I'm home if that helps?

  • dibs (assuming the above don't count as dibs)

  • @King_Saxlingham It's coming in at 83cm from the centre of BB to the top of the saddle with the post set to max.

  • @wmialil - if the above decline, then dibs it is.

  • @Freddie92 - can confirm it as a 54cm/21 (and a tiny bit) inch frame.

  • Ah gonna be to small, shame, beauty of a bike.

Edit, if the buyer doesn't take the rack and bag, id be interested in them.

  • Gotta undibs I'm afraid. bump

  • Some misconceptions about size here. MTB sizing is way different to road.

    Check the Top Tube length. I ride a (21”) 54cm road bike - but I’d ride a 17” MTB.

A 21” MTB is huge - hence the tiny stem here.

  • Thanks for the post. I've listed the measurements in both metric and imperial.

It's based on the centre of the BB to top of seat tube.

No misconceptions there, just a personal preference.

I prefer riding a larger MTB frame. The shorter stem wasn't added to reduce my reach, but to improve control and handling.

  • @King_Saxlingham - rack and bag are available.
No buyer for the bike yet.

  • Dibs

  • Hi,

What I mean is, buyers are using your height to gauge the size of the bike; Which is shrinking your buyer pool. The key measurement is top tube length, not seat tube length. I don’t see TT length mentioned

Traditionally a 21” MTB was the largest size produced.. so would be suited to persons of 6’ plus

  • Thanks, I'll update with TT measurements when I'm home 👍

  • dibs if @dan bows out

  • Oh boy.

    So. Much. Want.

  • Also interested if it's worth a third dibs.

  • Lovely looking bike for a great price! Perfect for a friend of mine, gonna get back to you as soon as he replies! He could also collect

  • Another dibs if it's worth anything

  • yeah top tube length c - c needed to have any idea what size the frame is really

  • Hey, is the rock lobster available?

  • I'm also interested... if still available.
