Are there any home contents insurers that will cover very expensive bikes or is everyone moving over to bike specific coverage and keeping home contents insurance separate?

Depends what very expensive is?

I recently switched from YJ to Barclays contents with bike cover. Way cheaper and cover bikes up to 5 grand a piece. They even made an addition to the policy to cover the bikes in the car and supposedly locked to a bike rack on the car.

My TT bike, so replacement cost of the frameset £4.5k. Add in all the custom bullshit, flash wheels, etc and it's probably £10k or more to replace.
