Lol, working at the poultry packer was one of the main studenty jobs in the town I grew up in, I avoided it by being a shelf stacker but lots didn't although the money was decent for a teenager

For me/my mates it was restaurants/bars then office admin.

Not that I think there's anything wrong with it, but it's ridiculous to think you can suddenly magic up a workforce for short term work.

I tried turkey plucking once. Grim. Trying not to tear the skin, birds still shitting whilst hanging... The smell... Ugh. After an hour I was done and just walked out.
