I developed a habit of finding watches I like which are not super special, but have just been discontinued and sold out everywhere.

Bizarrely, TK Maxx often have Certina's at heavy discount, same with Rado, worth keeping an eye out online

If they don't ship to you I guess it doesn't matter but the one thing to be aware of buying from them is they aren't authorised dealers, so no manufacturer warranty

Obvs more money, but there are G-Shocks with carbon straps. Might be worth a look.

What's the rational of wearing another watch at the same time?

It's more one a smart/gps watch and the other a mechanical inaccurate and overpriced watch, so it's useful to know if the watch is running correctly by checking the others.

Not waiting for the series 7? The stainless version is very nice too and there are plenty of cheap straps to play with.
