The company I work for currently do a 7 day Triathlon that includes a 5 day bike leg from Fort William to Windsor. We're looking at introducing an off-road option for 2022 / 2023. I'd be hugely grateful for any advice (local knowledge) / recommendations for gravel routes based on the following itinerary. It will take me a while to piece it all together but any good sections or trails that need including would be good to know.
Fort William - Glasgow
Glasgow - Carlisle
Carlisle - Haydock
Haydock - Doitwich
Droitwich - WindsorDays 1,2 and 5 should be relatively easy to sort out. Piecing an off-road route from Carlisle to Droitwich looks the trickier part. Note the itinerary is fixed as it will need to sit alongside the main event.
Cheers in advance

Planning on going on a 3 day/2 night tour in a couple weeks Leaving from SE London and either arriving back in London via bike or train depending on where the route takes us. Wanted some potential wild swimming and maybe a brewery for some nice fresh ale. Light~ish mileage each day averaging 50 odd miles at a nice relaxed pace. Anyone have any routes or suggestions?

Anyone got any tried and tested North Wales routes they'd recommend? [road, not bridleway]
100-300km.
Starting from anywhere really - planning a 'fast tour' with a mate in Sept, ideally taking in some of the 'headline' passes like Llanberis or anything interesting like the Marchlyn Mawr Dam ...

Oasts and Coasts would make a good 3 day tour - I'd probably stop in or near Rye on day 1,
Deal / Margate / Whitstable on the North Kent Coast end of Day 2, back in to London day 3.Plenty of micropubs once you hit the Kent coast. Not that much before Rye, good cafes in Uckfield. Swimming-wise, obviously the sea but you do cross the River Medway once or twice too.

Wow this look like an absolute corker of a ride, I hadn’t considered the east coast tbh so this looks lush! My plan so far was the downslink to Horsham then along to Chichester, looping up to the new forest with a train back.

I've ridden it maybe 5 or 6 times and it's always a joy. Also after Faversham there's not tons of civilisation - you could always jump on a train from either there or Rochester to give yourself more time around the seaside towns.
You pass several isolated beaches away from the madding crowds (there's a good one at Seasalter, just past the Sportsman pub for a secluded swim), and the stretch at Sandgate has some empty stretches.
It's not flat - the climb out of Folkestone, and the one in Dover are both challenging, but they're small blips on an otherwise fairly flattish route.

Sounds like a really nice ride, if we don’t do it this time it’ll definitely be on the wish list for later in the year! Having never really explored that part of the country it seems like a great route to get familiar.

Adding to my spam of the thread, a couple of us had also suggested doing the infamous South Downs Way after this lovely bout of sunny weather it’ll be nice and dry.
Was wondering if there is any nice routes taking in bridleway and quite roads, leaving from London to Winchester?(I haven’t had a chance to have a look yet)

Anyone got any decent off-road/bridleway routes from Thetford/Snetterton area into Norwich? Quiet road routes also an option.

Piggy back on this one - anything Victoria Park to Norwich for road?

Thanks, yeah I’ve ridden bits of that. The plan was to ride most of that route but it stops around Thetford so need something that then goes into Norwich.

Hi All. I am heading to Llanidloes in mid wales. I can wing it and build up a route in strava. Before I do that. Any recommendations on a 100 mile loop?
Thanks. -

Something like this will get you the desolate miles through the cambrian mountains. Pretty devoid of life and nature but it's good cycling.#
You could head in any direction and get a good ride though.

I'd forgotten all about this (and the tags didn't work). Ta.
I was thinking about KAW but this could also be an ATM shakedown ride. -

Does anybody have the old BHF road route Victoria Park to Southend? I feel like Ican probably remember most of it but would be good to have it stored on my phone too, it’s been quite a while since I rode it. Goes via Stock…

I've got to get from Penge to Greenford tomorrow. Is there any way of getting there that's not horrible main roads but still relatively quick?

I've got that route @user85518 send me a pm and I'll dig it out for you.
Moving the route chat to the correct thread (@Alex_B @hippy) this is the WIP route I have drafted. All stuff I have ridden before, except from km 133 to 232, any input is always welcome
