I built a trailer specifically to be adaptable for long loads after getting a section of 4x8 (NA plywood spec) home by tying one end to my rack and the other to our Burley Travoy. It wasn’t easy, but it was inspiring…
The one I built has an arm that can be switched out for any length, making it useful for longer loads.
Anyone on here think this is nuts - before I try it. It's an idea for schlepping my big ladder without having to use my van. Ladder is 3.6m. The idea is some sort of pivoting coupling on ebd of my UA pannier rack, and a pair of wheels clamped to the other end of the ladder, probably with a visibility flag on back
