  • In a miraculous twist I went to a local ‘dealer’ who submitted my claim yesterday morning. By lunch I had confirmation of a warranty replacement rear triangle that’ll be shipped Monday.

    Now imagine if that’d happened 4 weeks ago when I contacted Evans with all of the details…

  • Evans don’t have mechanic anymore (as far as I know), they’re completely downsized to the bare minimum.

    We have a chap who got a fork replaced under warranty from Evans, they didn’t fit the crown race on and the bike almost got damaged riding with the fork pressing against the headtube.

    Easily sorted and cost a smite over £60, but it’s such a rookie mistake, unless you’re not a mechanic.

  • Had a frame in the Wimbledon branch for 3 weeks waiting for a mechanic to remember to look at it. Not only did they not have a mechanic in but they were also unable to order anything in. Bike shop that was unable to source any 1 1/8 headsets.

    Horrendous customer service to boot. Will not be using them for anything but buying something off the shelf.
