FWIW I had great success running tubs with sealant in, commuting ~10 miles each way every day into central London.
I’ve only ever had to change a tub by the side of the road when out on a proper ride- twice in the Kent lanes and once by a correctional facility (big signs saying “do NOT pick up hitchhikers” all over the place) in Colorado
