Yes, I think one entertaining lesson that may come from all this is that the UK must compete with the EU27 for the immigration required to run the country. Patel’s head is going to revolve.

I wonder which countries around the world have HGV class one licences that we consider equivalent to ours?

There is just that the UK has a larger proportion of shortage.
As a bonus many mainland drivers are not interested in doing GB runs anymore either due to customs hassle as they get paid by distance, not time.
