It's mainly based around trying to not lose before turn 3 then killing as much as possible, but I've found that doesn't work so well against armies that can do high turn 1 pressure.I may have also just ordered enough Grey Knights for a 1k list.

I played 2 more games of 40k yesterday against a Chaos Daemons list with 4 big baddies then a whole bunch of cheap troops. Lost both times, killed a lot and did good secondaries but didn't score enough primary points. Got my first match up for the tournament tomorrow and it's going to be rough, I'm playing against an Ork buggy list, at least if I score 0 points my other matches should be easier.
