Any suggestions for a LBS near Liverpool Street station that is likely to have ball bearings, grease and cone spanners in stock?
I understand there is more than one size of bearing and I don't know what mine are but I presume if I take them into a store and ask for some like it they should be able to sort me out?

Out of interest what is it you need machining?

What are the ball bearings for, they are pretty standard for each application.

Rear hub on my 2016 vintage Pinnacle Arkose 3. I can see no markings on the hub for the model of that. "Rear Hub alloy loose ball" says a review in bikeradar from the time.

I'd guess 1/4", 9 balls a side

What sort of content should a groom who isn't a big fan of public speaking get into his speech?
Asking for a friend

There are 9 x2 and they could be 1/4" but I've no idea where my calipers are to check.
Most online bike shops don't seem to sell them at all. I could buy a lifetime supply box of assorted sizes for not much from Amazon but I'd rather give some money to a shop.

Groom is pretty much all about thank yous, how beautiful bride/bridesmaids/mothers look, how lucky he is, etc

Decent independent shops in London will* have them.
*should

But online bearing suppliers do. If you're setting up to be ready for legacy bike stuff, get 100 each of 1/4", 3/16", 5/32"and 1/8" from somebody like https://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/index.php?cPath=23_7240&&selection=AISI+52100+Chrome+Steel+Loose+Ball+Bearings

I didn't know my 5 year old bike counted as legacy :( I don't expect to do this very often either.

I generally get Weldtite bearings, not cheap, not expensive.

-Welcome and thanks to all for attending. Special thanks for anyone who helped with organising, it’s turned out fantastic etc.
-Thanks to each immediate family member and extended family if they’re close, include anecdotes if relevant to marriage or the groom’s or bride’s positive self-development.
-Special thanks to bride’s and own parents. Thank bride’s parents for raising such an amazing daughter, and for welcoming groom into the family. Easy charisma points by pointing out that the mothers and sisters look lovely, and the dads and brothers look, all right, as well (if one of the men might be sensitive about their appearance just say they all look really sharp).
-If any deceased family members or
close friends, mention that you wish they were there in person but you know they’re there in spirit.
-A brief Family-rated recount of how couple met, avoid exes unless it’s impossible. Can specify whether it was love at 1st sight or took time to mature, characteristics that drew groom to bride, and moment he decided he wanted to marry her.
-And the Bride, by name, what’s amazing about her, why she’s inspiring, what small quirks of groom’s she puts up with, how they complement each other and will help each other grow individually and as a couple, what parts of their future they’re both looking forward to the most, and how unforgettably beautiful she looks. Finish by saying reaffirming love and devotion, such as something from the vows that doesn’t reference death or anything sad.
-Propose a toast to the bride and to everyone gathered today.
Boom, winning speech done.On humour- keep it classy, play it safe. No sex, no drugs, no exes, no mean comments or anything that might be misconstrued as offensive, even if it’s absolutely hilarious this isn’t the moment. If in doubt, leave it out.

Strict loose balls are rare on modern bikes parts above BSO level, even Shimano are using caged balls on many of their hubs and "loose ball" BBs and headsets have mostly used cages for at least 30 years.
I don't expect to do this very often
Yeah, but if you're shopping anyway you might as well be prepared for next time. Balls will store successfully for decades 😀

It's the width over the outsides of the two bearings.

Rather annoyingly, there are at least three different tools for 386EVO/1.370" threaded cups, so you'll probably have to buy the tool. Not that you wouldn't have wanted to anyway.
FSA, Token and Rotor all do suitable BBs which can be had for under £50

What he said.
Depending on what style of speech your best man is likely to give, you can always finish with "Remember in most of the stories that he is going to describe, he was stood right next to me, egging me on...."
