yeah, just trying to keep it shape as feasibly possible to the wall, shouldnโt make a huge difference
the string metal shelves arenโt an option just to bring 30 including the lip so likely too limiting

could add some kind of rubber underlay to the shelves that hold the records to bring it ip level with the lip? should be invisible by the time you've got the overhang..? maybe?

I've had half an eye open for the last few months looking for stools and struggled to find any I really liked the look of. I now have 3 Artek bar stools with lino tops on the way!

I have done this with a shitload of records stored on 606 in 30cm depth- a sheet of thin perspex at each end of the shelf for UV protection and to avoid sleeves bending and then a wide strip of high density cardboard under the records to lessen the lip along the front edge. In time I will probably upgrade that to rubber.

How fucking much!?
Nice but pricey for sure.

Whereโs this?

Yeah astronomically expensive new, these were ยฃ130 each. Still expensive for sure, but nothing like RRP!

That's definitely palatable. Ikea bar stools are over ยฃ100 each anyway...

So you probably need to buy about 6 to make the air fare worth the saving...

looking for some large, tall, deep shelves for storing boxes and books in both living room and garage.
must have solid shelves (not wire), be fairly cheap, colours are ok, wood or metal both fine.
looking for something more refined than toolstation/screwfix options but cheaper than hay
any suggestions gratefully received! -

I actually really ikea Ivar and similar basic pine shelving systems. They do seem to vary in quality and I forget which ones came from where. Ivar comes in 50cm deep shelves I think.

IVAR seconded - cheap and look nice if styled right

We have Ikea METOD kitchen cabinets with DIY fronts in our bedroom. Drilling the holes fore the Ikea hinges was fairly easy with a โฌ25 jig and the metod cabinets come in every size imaginable with lots of options for shelves organizers etc.

How come you have a coffee machine in your bedroom?
-
• #949
For making coffee, surely!

The kitchen is fairly small so countertop space is at a premium. And I only drink one espresso to start the day so it's a pretty convenient spot anyway.
are the 36cm shelves not an option? the 79 degree sloping shelf would be a shallow option though you wouldn't get many (20?) records on in that orientation
