This is basically what I thought, the tube will be filthy or wrecked when I need it. Maybe inside a ziplock bag like hippy suggests then electrical tape it on. It’s only for max 2 races a year so reluctant to spend money on this. The rest of the time I have space in my frame bag for a tube

That sounds like it would work.

This is what I put in the bottle cage for “just in case” situations.

... but pricey

Fitted this morning, what a fucking faff. But according to the scientifically tested 100% accurate bubble level app I downloaded for free, it's now at 62.4⁰
It's also possible my house is on the piss, so allow some margin for error

And lucky I finally ordered a Hope bleed kit which arrived this morning, because whilst fitting it I found a puddle of dot fluid coming out the reservoir cap
And oil leaking out my rebound adjuster. Cool.

Hope bleed kit
Having bled many RX4s with Shimano levers I was pleasantly surprised bleeding my X2 / E4 the other day. Pump and twist. 5 minutes, done. Lovely.

No plug tool or is that up front?
What multi-tool set is that? I had issues with my little Topeak torque set on the weekend not being able to reach the FD's H adjustment screw so I might go back to my old-fashioned allen key set for the gravel bike (or I could just make sure stuff is adjusted and TIGHT before I leave the house but where's the fun in that?)

I've got both of these:
https://www.topeak.com/global/en/products/75-Mini-Tools/1158-RATCHET-ROCKET-LITE-NTX+
https://www.topeak.com/us/en/products/75-Mini-Tools/181-super-chain-tool
and I think Lezyne have a multitool with chaintool
EDIT: They have a bunch of them https://ride.lezyne.com/collections/bicycle-multi-tools

Phew. Anything 62.5 or steeper would be like something from the 90's!
-
• #21567
I've got a 27.5 in the rear and mines coming in at 64º, only down side is the pedal strikes.

• #21568
I'd have to check - it's my back up. I always have this one in my pocket along with a plug tool:
I have run into the exact same issue that you did - in my case a T25 to adjust a brake calliper would not reach - so I now carry a little extension (that I see the NTX+ comes with) as well to enable the bits to get to certain bolts/screws.

I've got a set of 27.5s I'm tempted to experiment with too. Is there such a thing as too slack?

Fuck, you know what? I forgot all about the fact the chain tool "handle" is an extension (which I've used in the past!). That might've worked on the weekend to get at the limit screw. It didn't matter too much as I had given the grrl my Park multitool as well, because I always have 14 backups of everything.
Your one is pretty similar but I bought mine specifically for the torque wrench bit so I could put bikes back together after traveling with bike box to race starts. For the gravel bike I don't give a shit about torque (no carbon) so I'm probably better off packing my old setup which is just the Topeak chain tool with a bunch of allen keys elastic banded to it. Not sexy, but it works.

Never reveal what annoys you. We fucky you up!

Never reveal what annoys you
Or throw out a decoy, so people merrily chuck that about whilst not bothering you in the slightest
-
• #21575
Or, just kill enough brain cells to forget what annoys you each week.
Live your best goldfish life.
I bought one (can't recall which one) ahead of my trip to the Alps last August, but tbh I think they're just a bit US centric for those who don't ride in dry, dusty conditions.
If you came to use a tube and so forth that you'd strapped to your frame after a typical UK ride you'd spend quite a while cleaning all the mud off it.
I got a Muc-Off tool-bottle instead and just chuck that in the bottle cage of whichever bike I'm going to be doing something like the SDW/Pentland Hills/Tweed Valley on as I'll have a pack of some kind for water.
