Will the arkose be UCI approved though? This is the big question
-
• #21378
No, but I feel there's now an opening for an up and coming young bike designer/builder/kitchen tinkerer

Don't think I've seen it in here. Never got to try it in gravel mode sadly.
-
• #21389
Hopefully it won't lead to all tyres being pretty much one size like in cross.

• #21390
What is the reasoning behind that rule in cx anyway? So everything isnt always rideable?
-
• #21391
My money's on 40mm
I bet it likely to be 42mm average, or 45mm.
They won’t go 33c because that at a disadvantage to bicycle companies trying to sell their latest gravel bike when a CX work well enough (hence why it have to be at least 42mm).

It's just the gravel version of the gran fondo championships... most people out for a nice day out rather than a race except at the finals where people will take it far too seriously in order to win a jersey that nobody who isn't there will care about.
