I have the Abus Stormchaser that fits my fairly narrow head, £90 on Sigma Sports at the moment and nice and light

Just noticed that Catlike helmets are back adorning the heads of the W52-FC Porto team riding in the Volta ao Algarve.
Had a catlike whisper and loved the look.

Don’t remember doing this but I’m guessing my helmet is dead now?

Absolutely dead as a dodo

Giro have crash replacement but their site says it's only available to those in the US. Maybe worth contacting them anyway to see if they can help.

Cheers, I'll look into it, it must of been that time I wore my helmet back to front...
Shame the Synthe looks to be discontinued, Aether looks nice but is big bucks. I recall hearing the Lazer Z1 was a good bet or long headed folk, anyone tried one?

Haven’t tried a Lazer for ages. They do honour their crash-replacement discount though. Met do too.

What's the helmet of choice for big bonces? I measured mine at 63cm with short hair, so need something a little bigger to take into account my lockdown locks

Same thing has happened to mine. I have gorilla glued it until I get another helmet...

Helmets offer limited protection at the best of times. If there are visible cracks there may well also be ones you can’t see and haven’t glued. I’d not gamble on this and just replace the fucked one ASAP.

Cheers! To be clear, this is my intention! :)

Actually, question for the group...
The recently departed was a Catlike Whisper (now discontinued), which I really like(d), comfort-wise. Any recommendations (south of £100) that would be like for like?

Did not know this!

I think it depeds more on the model than anything else, a friend of mine has a wide head and is very comfortable with a Giro helmet.
I on the other hand, not so bulbous, very comfortable with a Lazer. -

I did that.
I was 9 years later I replaced the crashed and glued helmet though. :S

Where are you? I have a large white one that I no longer use.

Lovely, lovely Romford. You're Gloucestershire/Somerset way aren't you?

Yep and I rarely go near a post office

Update time: Been wearing an Abus Stormchaser for the last few months and would agree that it is light. Feels a bit cheapy to me though. Perhaps the two things are linked.

I felt this way going from a Synthe to an Airbreaker (couldn't get a Synthe in my size). The Abus does have a great compact shape for my silly shaped head but doesn't feel as plush/well finished as the Giro.

Looking to replace my Z1 as it took a bonk from a branch when doing some XC and has a dent in it.
Looking for a purple/plum etc coloured one to replace it, any around along with the Align?
Maybe it's just their fit system which makes it feel better, but I didn't have any of the same wobble issues I had when try kask or giro.
