Yep exactly, it's like Ryanair and the pandemic. They're the biggest airline in Europe and they had the deepest pockets, so they watched competitors go out of business and snapped up the ones they wanted when they did during the pandemic.
I'm fairly sure that the current Octopus media offensive will be about getting the brand out there so they can pinch customers from others then ride it out.
The business will be worth a lot more if most of their competitors go under.
Maybe - if you were going on a land grab for customers you might like the situation where 90% of your competitors were put out of business by an event that you could ride...
