• We are knee deep in a live-in renovation with a 2.5 year old. Doing it room by room. Hasn't been too bad (except when we had to decamp from the living room and live out of the dining room which is still storing a lot of stuff. Living off one armchair and one garden chair with a toddler during lockdown was unpleasant - but as said, a very 1st world problem to have) as she sleeps in with us anyway (double+single mattresses on the floor). Her room is this close to being done, then we can shift a load of her crap in there. Living room is nearly done too. Her room and the living room will have carpet before a lot of other stuff is done. The hall, stairs and landing are currently just the bare, manky floor boards so to try and prevent walking said mank into the newly carpeted rooms, I'm thinking of temporarily stapling some kind of runner/carpet to the bare areas that will be replaced as an when we do those bits. Anyone got any good recommendations?
