okay cheers, i feared that may be the case, but it doesn't look like you get that much in the mini version...
I've got an ortlieb (velocity?) backpack which I've had for prob 10 years which has been amazing but is dying. The right thing to do is just get another, but fancied a change, and some compartments.

I've for a Restrap commuter backpack that I rate for daily use on and off the bike! It's a roll top so can expand to be absolutely massive when you need it to be but folds down to regular backpack size for normal use. It's got a couple of pockets and a built in padded laptop sleeve in the main compartment. Free repairs for life as well.
I used a citizen for work for a while, it was great, really well made and thought out but absolutely massive. I found it a lot less useful than a backpack for anything other than multi drop courier work when you have to access it frequently because when it's full it's extremely heavy and the single strap can dig in to you a fair bit. I think I sold mine for about £50 so might be worth keeping an eye out for a secondhand one!
